His journey began at the young age of 15, drawing inspiration from faith, playing a Fender guitar in the Church He attended, and the diverse communities in the region He still calls home. After dedicating almost 23 years to a distinguished career in law enforcement, David Rodriguez is switching gears and making waves in the music industry. In 2022, he unveiled his music studio and website, “audiosquadmusic.com,” and has since been leaving his mark in the Latin, Reggaeton, and Hip-Hop genres with a remarkable album EP and a string of captivating singles.
Beyond his Album EP, “Corona,” Rodriguez has released a series of singles that have garnered attention in the music industry. “I was Born and raised in Upstate, New York in the City of Utica. I attended local schools including, Community College, and then in 1993, I started my Career as a Deputy Sheriff in the Corrections Division. During my early years working for Government, I attended University part-time studying Psychology, while raising my two beautiful children. I was only able to juggle this fast busy life Thanks to My Mothers unconditional Love and support. During my Career, I attained many Accommodations and Awards, (see Award & Achievements) and I also threw my hat in the ring for the Sheriff’s Election in 2010. Assigned as Offender Work Program Coordinator in 2000. Promoted to Director of Offender Work Program 2002. A few years later, I was Promoted to Sergeant. After over 23 Years of service, I finally retired in the Summer of 2014.”

DJ CAPONE threw his rearview mirror out the window after retiring at a relatively young age, and is now Ascending into the Soul of Music once again!
David has been Mixing it down on the Turntables with his over 230 Live Shows on Mixcloud, and He has Ranked #1 in the Global Latin Trap Charts 6 Times in a 12 Month Period,
and Top 30 in the Reggaeton Charts also! Aside from performing live shows, He has been Feverishly Composing & Producing Music.
Officially Releasing a Discography of “7” Hot Singles and an EP Album in less than 3 Months, showing an inherent passion to pursue His Musical endeavors.
DJ CAPONE enlightens us with How, and why Music became a Soul Passion:
“My interest in Music began at the age of 15, when a close friend returned from vacation in N.Y.C . He recorded a Live Hip Hop / R&B DJ Mix Show on a cassette tape back then, from the Popular Radio Station WBLS FM. After listening to the Mixes, I was instantly elevated to a new and exciting endeavor of becoming a DJ, Circa 1986.”
So what happened between His 1986 Dj Debut and Now?
“A few Years later, I was Blessed with two Healthy Beautiful Children, and I started working Fulltime and Attending College. I began my Career with the Government, and remained a Public Servant until Summer 2014. Retiring at a relatively early age was beneficial in many ways. I jumped back in Head first into Music Theory, Composing Music, and picked up where I left off performing Live Shows as a DJ on Mixcloud, and other events.”
”On a normal Day or Night, no matter what activity I’m engaged in, a Melody, a Beat, and sometimes both will invade my head like a telepathic Alien trying to sell me a space ship. I’ll get to the Studio as quickly as I can, and start Composing those Melodies as if time was never on My side. Then after many hours, but mostly several Days, I end up with Music that not only sounds great, but now transcends the World. It’s a sense of accomplishment with something I enjoy. I’ve written and Produced Music for a few Artists, and those Albums and Singles are now available on all of legacy platforms.”
What are your Goals for performing, writing and producing music?
“I enjoy entertaining, and I am absolutely going to continue performing my Live DJ Shows on Mixcloud, and in Person. I always looked at it as a hobby, but now that I’m composing music, it has become a fulltime job that I enjoy. So I would say my ultimate goal is to show the entire World my compositions. There is endless music in every genre, each with they’re own unique seasoning.” “I’d also love to perform at Coachella!”
“So I’m sharing my Music World Wide, and My hope is that it reaches into their soul in the same way it did for me.”
